Healthy Breakfast to See You Through the Day and Workouts

Health experts advise that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is good to eat nutritious foods during this meal to keep the body strong. Having a well-balanced breakfast helps me accomplish most of my workouts without having to eat a lot during the day.

A good breakfast helps in maintaining good health and keeping the body fit. I make sure that my breakfast contains proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Having a heavy and nutritious breakfast has made it easy for me to do my daily workouts without going low on energy reserves. Having a heavy and nutritious breakfast might have made it easy for me to do my daily workouts without going low on energy reserves. I usually take help from articles, blogs (similar to Me Magazine Blog), and YouTube videos for recipes and diet ideas.

Oatmeal

The body requires foods rich in carbohydrates to act as its fuel. Carbohydrates like sugar give the body short bursts of energy since they are broken down quickly. The body requires complex carbohydrates to have long-lasting energy. Oatmeal is one of the best sources of such carbohydrates. Oats are a good source of fiber and carbohydrates. They also contain low levels of fat and protein. Oats also provide the human body with manganese, folate, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, and vitamin B1. I prepare this meal by boiling oats in water to make porridge. I like to enjoy this meal with fruits or nuts.

Almond Butter

Almonds supply the body with antioxidants, iron, fats, calcium, protein, and vitamin E. Almond butter has monounsaturated fat which helps in controlling blood sugar and reducing heart diseases. Protein and fiber in the almond butter are enough to hold hunger pangs for long periods. When buying almond butter, I always ensure that I have bought a brand of almond that does not contain any added fats, artificial ingredients, or sugar. I ensure the almond butter is part of my breakfast by mixing it in a hot plate of oatmeal or using it in creating a smoothie.

Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein and calories. Eating eggs for breakfast makes me feel energetic for the better part of the day. I noticed that I do not eat a lot during the day whenever I have had eggs for breakfast. A single egg contains 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of fats, and 75 calories. All these help in making the body healthy since they are natural. Eggs can be enjoyed as soft boiled, scrambled, hard-boiled, or as an omelet with vegetables. Having such breakfast guarantees me a super day.

Greek Yogurt

The body requires microorganisms to be able to carry out digestion properly. Poor digestion leads to a sluggish feeling in the body during the day. It also leads to other unwanted conditions like indigestion and heartburn. If you’re a sufferer of one of these then you’ll know all too well the discomfort before taking a Zantac 360 ° or similar medicines. This is something you want to avoid, because exercising may make this worse or trigger it too. Therefore, microorganisms are needed to help in digestion to be healthy. Greek yogurt provides the body with these organisms. What makes me love Greek yogurt is the different foods that can be used to enjoy it. I enjoy Greek yogurt with nuts, oats, berries, seeds, honey, granola, apples, papaya, coconut, and mango.

Papaya

Papayas are very rich in vitamins. Vitamins are very important to maintain the body’s immune system. I like enjoying my papaya as a smoothie with milk mixed with yogurt. At times, I cut the fruit open and enjoy it alone. This fruit has high levels of antioxidants and fiber. Vitamin C found in papaya helps the body to absorb non-heme iron. This is the vitamin that supports the body’s immune system.

Ground Flaxseed

This food is very rich in soluble fiber. Fiber helps to lower blood sugar and slow digestion. I include this food in my breakfast by sprinkling a few tablespoons of it on my yogurt or oatmeal. It can also be added to baked goods or in a smoothie. I like making my flax enjoyable by mixing the flaxseeds with lemon juice, spices, honey, and hot water.

Breakfast is widely touted as the most important meal of the day and I can attest to that. From experience, a good breakfast makes workouts easy and also provides energy to get through the day. Even if I do not have time to have a nice lunch, a good breakfast has me covered. The above foods are all nutritious and they fit perfectly in a breakfast meal.
